HARDEST SPORT IN THE WORLD

WRESTLING.

WHAT IT IS

Wrestling is the oldest combat sport in recorded history and the most athletically demanding discipline in this gym. It is built around controlling where the fight happens, taking opponents down, holding them there, and turning physical dominance into points, position, or submission setups. In a grappling context, the person who controls the takedown largely controls the match.

The wrestling curriculum at Lions is coached by Rodrigo Sezinando and Daniel Osario. It covers single legs, double legs, and high-crotch attacks from the tie-up and open stance; sprawl and scramble defense; and the chain wrestling that connects one attack to the next. The conditioning demands are real. Wrestling fitness is its own category and it will expose any gaps in your base.

For BJJ and No-Gi grapplers, wrestling solves the takedown problem, the gap in most ground fighters' games that becomes obvious the moment they face a wrestler. For MMA athletes, it provides cage control, takedowns, and the ability to dictate where every round goes.

WHAT A CLASS LOOKS LIKE

Wrestling classes start with a demanding warm-up: level changes, penetration steps, sprawls, and movement patterns that build the athleticism the sport requires. Technique work covers the day's attack or defensive sequence, drilled at progressive speed with a partner. Classes close with live wrestling in timed rounds. Expect the hardest cardio session in the gym. Expect to learn something every single time.
